Become an Editor
Help build the largest human edited interviews directory of the web!
People decide to volunteer for many different reasons: to give something back to the community, as a valuable way of enriching their work experience, because they have extra free time, to have better CV (Curriculum Vitae) when looking for jobs or as a hobby, etc.
Volunteer editors select, evaluate, edit and organize all interview data. New editors apply to edit smaller area of the job around interviews first and then apply to edit additional areas after they have accumulated a number of interview edits. Senior editors mentor junior editor volunteers too.
Volunteer editors often do many other things as well: search engine listings, initiate interviews, make phone calls, improve the overall quality of the Joournalist newspaper and similar.
Have any requirements for being an editor?
Everyone is welcome to join our volunteer team. Generally, you must have an interest about volunteer work, computers or journalism. However, qualities like this are welcomed: multilingual, excellent writing and grammar, good spelling, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Do editors have a defined working time?
No. Editors can invest any amount of their own time for volunteer work. Any work time you can give is welcomed. However, if you have a long period of inactivity, your edit account will expire.
What kind of compensation is available to editors?
No monetary compensation is available - our editors do this work for the fun of it, and their love for the spirit of positive journalism and web newspaper publishing. However, if an editor needs documentation that proves the volunteer work, the Journalist will issue a digital certificate about your volunteer work, for any volunteers who edit for at least three months.
How do I become a Journalist newspaper editor?
To become an editor, you will need to fill out an application first. Your application will be reviewed by one of the community's senior editors. We receive lots of requests and review each one. Because of that it takes some time until you get a response. Please note that we can not guarantee acceptance in all cases.

Netherlands days
We think it would be wonderful to have a special interview recognition activity, focused on geographical locations from time to time. Our main focus is changed every 30-45 days. Sure, we still do other interviews globally at the same time. Currently, our focus area is Netherlands during "Netherlands interview days".
